Post Prom needs helpers from September through May. Jobs come in all shapes and sizes. Busy in the Spring? Help us with fund raising or planning in the Fall. Busy in the Fall? Volunteer for a few hours in the Spring when the work picks up. We can always use volunteers to run errands as the big day approaches. Kids bored at home on a Saturday morning? They can volunteer too!
Underclassmen/Junior Parents: you are especially needed to volunteer the night of the event.
Steering Committee Member: Helps in the general planning and running of the event. May focus on areas of specific interest. We need new members!
At Home Helper: Become involved in anything that can be done from home such as: making, cutting, painting items needed for decorating, preparing mailings etc.
Decorating: This committee takes areas of the school and transforms them into something totally awesome! You will not recognize the school. There is a decorating chairperson that is in charge of all areas. Each of the other areas utilizes the staff of 5-10 people to plan and decorate the area. Past years decorations are available for use.
Entertainment/Activities: This committee arranges for the entertainment for night. This includes tournaments, inflatables, casino, arcade games, photo op, etc. Works with the prize committee.
Food: This committee plans the menu and secures donations and food for the night of the post prom from restaurants/food stores/parents. Volunteers will be needed to pick up donations, set up, serve and clean up.
Fund Raiser: Committee runs the raffle, keeps track of raffle tickets, and organizes people to sell raffle tickets. Sends solicitation letters to local businesses for cash and prize donations.
Prizes: This committee is in charge of securing the prizes, setting the prizes up for display and handing out prizes.
Publicity: Handles publicity for the event.
Registration: This committee is responsible for getting seniors and their guests registered for the Post Prom. They the prepare packets given to the students. The night of the prom volunteers check the students in and out.
Senior Parent Liaison: Helps to keep Senior parents informed about the event.
Set-up/Clean-up: Committee members help decorate the Friday evening before and/or come in the morning following the post prom to take down decorations and prepare them for storage.
Work the Event: Parent volunteers help out the night of the event working the various activities.
